exida Certifies Panduit VeriSafe AVT for Functional Safety

  January 10, 2018

exida, the global leader in functional safety certification for the process industries, has certified Panduit’s VeriSafe (AVT) Absence of Voltage Tester for functional safety, ensuring it meets the functional safety requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 capability per IEC 61508: 2010.

The VeriSafe™ AVT automates and simplifies the process of absence of voltage verification testing.

“Although the VeriSafe AVT is easy to operate, it executes a high degree of effective diagnostics to allow SIL3 operation without external redundancy,” says John Yozallinas, exida Certifying Assessor.

“exida stands out as a market leader for Functional Safety. Their expertise was critical in launching the industry’s first SIL 3 permanently mounted absence of voltage tester.” says Mark Richardson, Reliability Engineer at Panduit.

"The team delivered a comprehensive set of design and development documents that satisfy the tough requirements of IEC 61508,”  Yozallinas went on to add.
