As an engineer responsible for critical industrial processes, you face a variety of challenges:

Completing a personnel functional safety certification program, such as the Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) program, can help address these challenges. Standards require proof of qualification, to insure safety knowledge and skills are up to date, and some companies now require CFSE holders to oversee and execute safety projects.
