Senior Safety Engineer

Description:

Facilitating process sector safety integrity level (SIL) determinations, layer of protection analysis (LOPA), and probabilistic analysis of instrumentation designs. In addition, the engineer will be expected to lead training courses and assist clients with processes and procedures for compliance with international functional safety standards.

Senior Functional Safety Consultant

Description:

• CFSE or CFSP certified
• Understand the functional safety lifecycle and implementation of IEC 16508 and IEC 61511
• Ability to conduct SIL verification and/or SIF, SRS implementation
• Experience with using safety PLCs and/or SCADA or DCS systems
• Experience with PHA, HAZOP, LOPA techniques
• Oil and Gas and/or process safety experience
• Ability to write reports for clients
• Ability to lead client teams in executing process safety functions
• Ability to work in a team or on your own
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
• Legally able to work and reside in the US
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card

• PC literate
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

Experience: 10 plus years in the Industrial Process Market, preferably Oil and Gas

Process Safety Consultant

Control System Security Engineer

Description:

Exida is seeking a highly-skilled, experienced individual to join our control system security services business. The primary duties of the candidate are:

• Facilitate control system security risk assessments
• Organize, lead and facilitate detailed system security vulnerability assessments
• Assist in the development of ICS security policy and procedural documents
• Manage and execute projects
• Participate in control system security product testing and certification
• Deliver existing training courses
• Develop new training courses
• Support the development of security assessment software tools
• Support business development efforts
• Present at technical conferences and symposiums
• Participate in industry standards development

Compensation consists of a base salary, profit sharing bonus and incentive pay based on total revenue generated within the region plus accomplishment of other key targets.

Experience:

• Engineering or computer science degree
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial automation experience working in the field
• Knowledge of industrial control system (SCADA, DCS, PLC, SIS, etc.) design and application
• Knowledge of networking and industrial protocols
• Knowledge server environments (Windows, UNIX) and common industrial applications (e.g. PI Servers)
• Knowledge of IT Security principles and best practices – CISSP certification desired
• Familiarity with IT Security appliances and applications (e.g. firewalls, IDS, SIEM, etc.)
• Knowledge of functional safety principles and best practices – CFSE certification desired
• Knowledge of industrial control system security principles and best practices
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g. professional and friendly)
• Must be a self-starter and require little oversight.

Consulting Engineer

Description:

• Lead / facilitate HAZOPs and LOPAs
• Perform SIS Design activities and calculations including SIL Selection and SIL Verification
• Organize, lead, and facilitate alarm rationalization
• Lead the development of alarm management philosophy documents
• Conduct security vulnerability assessments on industrial control systems
• Lead customer training on exida products such as exSILentia® and SILAlarm™
• Publish / Present technical papers and presentations

The selected candidate will be trained as necessary on exida’s products and work processes in order to deliver the above projects. Up to 50% travel, primarily within the Gulf Coast region, is expected. Compensation consists of a base salary, profit sharing bonus and incentive pay based on accomplishment of mutually-agreed upon key targets.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with control systems (Emerson DeltaV desired) and/or process design, ideally in a plant environment
• CFSE or CFSP certification highly desired
• Strong knowledge of safety instrumented system design and application
• Basic understanding of industrial control system security principles and best practices
• Strong knowledge of alarm management principles and best practices
• Familiarity with key standards such as ISA-18.2, IEC61511 / ISA-84 and ISA-99 is desired
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
