EXIDA CERTIFIES DET-TRONICS® FlexSonicTM ACOUSTIC GAS LEAK DETECTOR FOR FUNCTIONAL SAFETY

exida, the global leader in functional safety certification for the process industries, has certified the Det-Tronics FlexSonicTM Acoustic Gas Leak Detector for functional safety, ensuring that they meet the functional safety requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 capable per IEC 61508.
“Det-Tronics has created practical technology for acoustically detecting high pressure gas leakage,” said Hal Thomas, exida Senior Safety Application Engineer. “Given the concern over gas sensor effectiveness and detection time, this product should provide significant safety improvement in the right applications.”
