Large Electric Sonic Valve
Woodward’s SonicFlo™ electrically actuated valve controls gas flow to any size industrial or utility gas turbine.
The unique design yields a linear flow versus stroke characteristic that is unaffected by discharge pressure up to a pressure ratio (P2/P1) of at least 0.8 for Standard Recovery and at least 0.92 for High Recovery. (Optional flow profiles are available.)
The integral electric actuator is single-acting and spring-loaded for failsafe operation. Electrically actuated units utilize a Digital Valve Positioner (DVP) that interfaces with the SonicFlo valve for proper redundant operation.
Valve sizes are available from 2” to 6,” with multiple flow profiles for each valve size. ANSI Class IV seat leakage is standard with an optional Class V available. Optional Trip Circuits are available to fit any application.
