Using a Spreadsheet to do an FMEA

Recording Date: October 2023

The Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) design verification technique benefitted greatly by the invention of the spreadsheet. Compared to the paper forms, the spreadsheet worked great. Even better than the early word processors. Today it is estimated that a significant number of FMEA are still done with spreadsheets. This can certainly be done. However, FMEA tools were created to improve FMEA quality and provide better documentation. Next Generation FMEA tools are even better. This webinar will describe how to use a spreadsheet for FMEA and compare the spreadsheet to an FMEA tool.
