We’re looking to grow our team and have an open position for an engineer with process industry experience and Alarm Management with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in plant operations or system design.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering project consulting services to end users and engineering companies for alarm management applications and the entire Alarm Management Lifecycle. Services will be provided according to exida practices as well as IEC 61511, IEC 62682, ISA-18.2 and EEMUA 191.

What You’re Good At:
You are detail-oriented, consultative and have a genuine passion for alarm management. You work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will:
- Engage with clients to evaluate and assess their Alarm Management procedures and practices and provide informed feedback where opportunity for improvement exists
- Conduct benchmark studies to document Alarm System performance
- Develop and maintain master Alarm Databases
- Contribute to Alarm Philosophy and Advanced Alarm Design development
- Create Alarm System Performance Monitoring and Assessment procedure, implementing Alarm Rationalization results and developing Alarm Response
- Procedure standards
- Conduct and guide Alarm Management and Alarm Rationalization workshops,projects, seminars and webinars
- Keep current with the latest trends in alarm system procedure and regulatory standards
- Manage projects to exceed customers’ expectations while maintaining budgets and schedules
- Create proposals, budgets and timesheet records as required
- Develop thought leadership, including whitepapers, blogs, webinars and new
- training materials
- Undergo continued education to improve skill set as necessary
Skills and Requirements
- B.S. in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in plant operations or system design
- Solid experience in, and understanding of, alarm types and alarm generation
- in distributed control systems
- Professional verbal and written communication expertise
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with alarm databases in industrial control systems
- CFSE or CFSP certification
- Knowledge of exSILentia software
- Knowledge of functional safety, alarm and cybersecurity standards
