Determining SIF Response Time

Recording Date: October 2016

Functional Safety standards dictate that the Overall SIF Response Time be documented in the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS), but little direction is provided to assess the parameter. This webinar will

  • review definitions provided in the standards,
  • dissect event scenario timeline,
  • suggest an approach to determining Overall SIF Response Time based on process analysis,
  • provide example calculation,
  • identify concern for real world issues.
