How to Effectively Use Certified Equipment in Fire and Gas Systems (Part 3: Gas Detection)

Recording Date: September 2018

Certifying detectors is an important step in achieving and reassuring safety for Fire and Gas Systems (FGS). How these products are used in a system is just as important.

As discussed in Part One, Fire and Gas (F&G) Mapping has become a critical step in reviewing F&G coverage with respect to adequacy, and what yardstick can be used in determining suitability of the system. Part Two focused in on the aspects most critical in certification and mapping of flame detection.

This webinar will complete the loop by looking at Gas Detection. The webinar will discuss issues surrounding certifying a Gas Detector and will also investigate the typical processes of a Gas Detection Mapping exercise, and discuss the benefits of a consistent approach to Gas Detection Design throughout the lifecycle of a facility.
