Exida Certifies Honeywell Safety Manager per ISASecure

  June 16, 2011

Honeywell announced that their Safety Manager is the first platform to gain ISASecure certification on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Honeywell User Group.  Exida performed the certification per the ISASecure Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) program which focuses on the security of industrial control devices such as PLC, DCS, SIS, and SCADA controllers.  The certification consists of three elements; a device Functional Security Assessment (FSA), a device Communication Robustness Test (CRT) and, organizational Software Development Security Assessment (SDSA).

The ISASecure EDSA program was developed by the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI), which is a consortium of asset owners and automation suppliers formed in 2007 with a goal of developing a security compliance program based on the security roadmap defined by the ISA-99 Industrial Control Security Standard.  Exida is first ISCI accredited certification lab for ISASecure EDSA Certification program.
