The Functional Safety Lifecycle as defined by IEC 61511 provides a method to analyze a process then design and implement a safety instrumented system to protect again high risk hazard scenarios. To perform each task effectively requires a good understanding of any analysis or design done beforehand. This webinar focuses on a simple, practical example starting with definition of risk criteria, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), SIL selection and documenting the Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) using the exSILentia Safety Lifecycle Suite.
