exida Sponsored Pennridge Highschool STEM Team Finishes 3rd in Challenge

The Pennridge Highschool STEM Team, the self-named Pennridge Nerd Squad, finished 3rd in the Pennsylvania 2023 Governor’s STEM challenge with their “Thinking Bee” project. A project focusing on the decline in the natural pollination across the US and Pennsylvania. The team developed a prototype drone, smartly named Adam Flayman as a reference to the 2007 Bee Movie, that could be deployed to collect pollen from flowers to assist in the pollination. In addition to finishing 3rd, the team was also awarded winner in the Sustainability category by a panel of Penn State University Faculty as well as winner of the STEMy Award for “Best in Science” selected by the Organizing Committee. exida’s is proud to be a community partner of the Pennridge Highschool STEM Team and wants to congratulate all members of the STEM team as well as their advisors.
