exida Appoints Richard (Richie) Butler as Country Manager for UK and Ireland

SELLERSVILLE, PA — exida, a global leader in functional safety, cybersecurity, and alarm management, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard (Richie) Butler as the new Country Manager for the UK and Ireland.
Born and raised in the south of the county but currently residing in North Tipperary, Ireland, Richie brings a wealth of international experience and a deep understanding of the region's industrial landscape. He holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin and an MSc in Strategic Quality Management from the University of Limerick. He is also a Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP).
With over 20 years of experience in senior engineering, project, and operational excellence management roles, Richie has worked across diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and utilities. In his new role, Richie will lead a dedicated team focused on expanding exida's functional safety, alarm management, and cybersecurity consulting services and training courses throughout the UK and Ireland.

Outside of his professional life, Richie is a dedicated family man, married to his wife Elaine with four children. He is also actively involved in his community as the Chairman and coach for the juvenile section of his local Hurling and Gaelic football club, a reflection of his deep interest for Ireland's national sports.
