NEO Monitors Receives SIL 2 Certification Through exida

Sellersville, PA: The global leader in functional safety, cybersecurity, and alarm management for the process industries, exida, has presented NEO Monitors with a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 certification for their LaserGas™ III Gas Monitor.
Designed for gas concentration monitoring applications with a special focus on SIL-applications and Ex-d, the LaserGas™ III has been certified by exida per the IEC 61508 requirements for service in safety critical applications. This product combines proven operational history with upgrades for fast and reliable gas concentration readings. To ensure operations were safe, NEO Monitors chose exida for their certification needs. With an exida certification, this monitor has passed a detailed evaluation of their design quality.
Through various assessments and a rigorous process that verifies the SIL of a product, it was determined that “the NEO Monitors team has included the features needed for functional safety, including diagnostics and fault annunciation mechanisms.” Adds William Goble, Evaluating Assessor for exida. “We believe this product is needed in the market and will serve their customers well.”
