Profire Energy Achieves SIL 2 CERTIFICATION for PF3100 Burner Control System

Sellersville, PA: The global leader in functional safety, cybersecurity, and alarm management for the process industries, exida, has certified Profire Energy’s PF3100 Burner Control System for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 capability per IEC 61508: 2010. 

The PF3100 Burner Control System is a modular, state-of-the-art solution for oilfield professionals. The entire system is made up of certified modules containing an enclosure and one or more cards, each performing a specific function. The modules can accommodate a vast field of needs and future applications. 

“Functional safety certification of the PF3100 creates the path for Profire to enter markets such as downstream, refining, petrochemical and other more advanced, higher spec projects which require functional safety approvals,” said Cameron Tidball, Profire’s Chief Business Development Officer. “We believe that reaching this milestone will add credibility to our future marketing initiatives and enable growth within our current segments and beyond.”
