The exSILentia SILver™ module is setting new standards for SIL verification. How easy is it to model a Safety Instrumented Function? Should one of your 2019 New Year Resolutions be to improve your efficiency in modeling Safety Instrumented Functions? Get an overview of the trend setting functionality in exSILentia, see how efficient use of the exSILentia data core speeds up your SIL verification.
In the process industry, many safety functions include a pump, motor, or other electrical device. To bring a process to a safe state the devices that control these electric elements need to work correctly. “SIL Certified” Motor relays, Motor contactors, Motor starters and Motor drives are commonly used for these Low Demand applications. However there is a misunderstanding in the industry on how the product was SIL Certified. High Demand SIL Certifications are prevalent for machine safety where the device or elements are moving frequently, but when dealing with systems in Low Demand there is a Large void in the process industry.
This webinar will discuss a survey conducted in 2017, it will talk about the lack of data in the field, and also provide suggestions on how to fill the void when all the answers are available when creating safety systems.
Personnel responsible for protecting organizational assets within Operations Technology (OT) groups would seem to have the same mission as those responsible for protecting organizational assets within Information Technology (IT) groups, and be tightly aligned. Spending any amount of time with Industrial Control System 〈ICS〉 clients, however, shows that is certainly…
