The exSILentia™ integrated Safety Lifecycle Engineering Tool is a powerful aid for any engineer involved in safety lifecycle tasks such as SIL selection, Safety Requirements Specification, and SIL verification. For users who are new to functional safety engineering or would like "hands-on" training for a quick start up, exida developed a one-day course. This course will familiarize users with all facets of the exSILentia tool to ensure efficient implementation of the Safety Lifecycle tasks.

Objective
To familiarize exSILentia users with tool features and general SIL selection and SIL verification concepts resulting in improved speed and efficiency of Safety Lifecycle tasks.

Target Audience
Individuals responsible for using exSILentia to perform Safety Lifecycle tasks. These individuals may include the Safety Lead, Conceptual Design Engineer, Requirements reviewer, or other people involved in completing the respective Safety Lifecycle tasks.

Prerequisite
Attendees should have a basic understanding of Windows-based software applications. General Safety Lifecycle knowledge is also expected. The course will focus on the use of exSILentia and limit Functional Safety training. A limited number of computers will be available for use by the students. To increase course effectiveness it is suggested that students bring their own personal computer with exSILentia installed. Internet access will be provided so that exSILentia Online customers can access their accounts.
